Built for the Amazon loop, useful for any company that uses the LP framework — and there are more of them than you think. This is the workbook that goes with my video on the behavioral round, now yours to download and start working through today.

If you watched the video, this is the method. Six stories from your life, bent to fit any of the sixteen principles. Now in a 28-page editable workbook you can actually fill in.

🎯 Why this works

Most people prep the obvious way: write one answer for each of the 16 principles and try to memorize all 16. It fails because interviewers don't ask 16 questions, real questions don't map cleanly to one principle, and memorized answers sound memorized.

This workbook flips the strategy. Instead of 16 answers, you build six deep stories. The principles bend to fit your stories — not the other way around.

📥 What you get

  • A 28-page PDF workbook — premium typography, the kind of thing you'd print and keep
  • All 16 Leadership Principles decoded — what each is really testing, how it gets asked, what the interviewer is listening for, easy ways to weaken a strong story
  • The Story Bank Method — a four-page section teaching the bend, with a worked example
  • A 6-slot worksheet with prompts engineered to force specificity
  • A coverage matrix — 6 stories × 16 principles, so you can verify your prep before walking in
  • A one-page cheat sheet — the 16 principles rewritten as the questions interviewers are really asking. Print it, fold it, take it in
  • The four moves to make in the room — pause, recover, honest fallback, help the interviewer say yes

✏️ How to use it

  1. Read Section 1 (~10 min) — understand the method
  2. Skim the 16 LP pages — get a feel for what each principle is really testing
  3. Fill the worksheet — six stories from your life, ~30 min per story over a weekend
  4. Use the coverage matrix to confirm every principle has a story
  5. Print the cheat sheet the morning of the loop

A weekend of work. Not a month.

🎥 Pair it with the video

The workbook is the deliverable. The video is the why — and two of the principles decoded live with my own real examples (a college website I built in 2011, a tiny justify view from twelve years ago — neither obviously a behavioral story until you know how to look).

💬 Want me to review your stories?

Once you've filled in your six, I do 1:1 mock behavioral interviews on Topmate. I'll ask the questions the interviewer will, push on the follow-ups, and tell you where each story is strong and where it's thin.
