About me
I'm Nikhil, an AI Research Scientist currently immersed in the dynamic world of LG Toronto AI Research Lab. With more than five years of alignment with industry, I've been fortunate to contribute to cutting-edge innovations. My academic journey includes a master's from the prestigious University of Toronto, which I completed in December '22. Prior to that, I spent over two years as a dedicated Software Developer in India. This role enriched me with the opportunity to create and deploy responsive AI systems that ventured into the realm of real-world production. Additionally, I nurture a tech blogger persona as a platform to share my insights and experiences.
My current research endeavors revolve around the realms of Generative AI models like Diffusion and Large Language Models (LLMs). Furthermore, I'm deeply intrigued by Vision-Language Pre-training, particularly through the lens of frameworks like CLIP. My exploration spans across diverse facets of Conversation AI, including the art of aligning LLMs with human feedback, the delicate process of quantizing LLMs for deployment, and the development of scalable LLMs engineered to handle extended context inputs.
