Nicole has always wanted to make a positive impact, and she thought that starting with a business degree with the hopes of later pursuing law would enable her to do that. When she came across a project wanting to create a sustainable alternative to menstrual pads while empowering women at the same time, she was introduced to the world of entrepreneurship. As she continued to develop the project and helped turn it into a business, she was shocked to find out the realities associated with menstruation - the amount of waste produced, the lack of innovation, the stigma, and the lack of education. Driven by her personal values and Ruth’s mission and vision, she leads the team in executing their marketing strategy and business development. Nicole is an alumni at Founder Institute Western Canada, the biggest pre-seed start-up accelerator in the world to help gain valuable skills and more knowledge in the world of entrepreneurship. She also recently completed the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship at Draper University, making her a Draper University Alumni which connects her with Silicon's Valley's finest and like-minded entrepreneurs around the world. Nicole won second place at the University of Alberta Falling Walls Lab competition. She went on to compete in Falling Walls Lab International in Berlin, Germany, along with a hundred other undergraduate and graduate researchers from top Universities across the world. Her achievements have not gone unnoticed. When interviewed by news outlets, she uses her platform to advocate for a better, more sustainable environment. She hopes to translate her passion, drive, and leadership to inspire fellow women who are eager to make a difference in the world. She also participated in a few business competitions while in school. Nicole completed her Bachelor of Commerce in Business Economics and Law at the Alberta School of Business, with a Certificate in Peter Lougheed Leadership, and is one of Ruth's co-founders.
