I have worked in startup industry for around 12 years now, and having seen companies grow/stagnate at various stages. I believe I have a lot of learnings to share in multiple domains - engineering, product thinking, culture, communication, documentation etc. So I could be focusing on making you a product leader for the long term and not just a good engineer. I'd tend to focus on long term thought process improvements like technical design, product thinking, influencing and communicating with stakeholders, how to nurture relationships etc. I have been a part of interview panel for SDEs, VP of engineering, product managers, QA engineers, Devops Engineers, Tech support engineers etc. I have set interview process, interview questions and trained interviewers across multiple organizations. Similarly I have been a part of feedback and appraisal committees. This means that I can provide holistic learnings from a point of view of interviewing as well as doing well while staying in the same organization. Having mentored numerous people across different functions in the organizations I have been a part of, I believe I could have a larger impact on this community by sharing my learnings by reaching out to people like you.
