I have had great mentors and coaches in my thirty+ years of technical and engineering executive leadership career at Microsoft, Honeywell and other corporations who were instrumental to my success during many huge technological disruptions. They helped me push my boundaries in both technical and non-technical aspects and excel and thrive through unsettling changes. They often helped me see things that I was missing, or I was really good at. Sometimes they challenged me for how I was thinking. Sometimes they helped me prepare for a difficult conversation I was avoiding or for a bigger opportunity I feared. Often, they simply asked the right question at the right time and showed their trust in me to make forward progress. In nutshell, they helped me be the best version of myself as I grew and evolved in my career and life.
