I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from N.I.T. Rourkela. For the next two years, I prepared exclusively for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. After the second attempt in which I narrowly missed the Prelims cut-off, I took a break due to personal reasons. I entered the 'real' world in September 2021 when I started working at Edukemy, India's first non-STEM ed-tech startup. For the first year, I explored various roles and responsibilities, the primary one among them being that of 'Tech Operations Analyst' and finally zeroed in on what I would like to build my career in - Product Management. Formally since August this year and informally for over a year now, I have been working as a Product Owner at Edukemy. I am responsible for defining the vision for the product I own, prioritizing requirements for it, managing the product backlog, working with cross-functional teams to deliver the product features, conducting research to understand and also anticipate customer needs and keeping a tab on the product progress. I serve as the primary liasion between the key stakeholders from the business side and the development team which delivers the final product. Apart from work, I love travelling, reading, writing poetry, cooking, following the ATP Tour and outdoor workouts.
