I currently work as a Senior Consultant, AI Risk at AIQURIS - an offshoot venture from TUV SUD. I'm part of a team of cross-disciplinary practitioners and experts who ask two crucial questions, every day: What are the risks of deploying an AI system? How do we work towards making AI systems safe and reliable? I graduated from Singapore Management University in 2021 and started my career in Technology Risk Consulting at KPMG. For nearly 5 years at KPMG, I worked primarily with Singapore government ministries, statutory boards and financial institutions in assessing their technology risk posture, helping them navigate complex regulatory frameworks, and building solutions for fraud and anomaly detection. The experience taught me that I enjoy working at the intersection of tech and policy, specifically with and for governments, and that I am endlessly curious about qualifying and quantifying the risk(s) of an "unknown." Outside of work: I read voraciously (usually on public transport), I write (almost as a necessity and sans the assistance of AI at https://shorturl.at/gtoo6), I cycle (when I need an escape), and I dream up silly app ideas (latest: nindex.vercel.app, a micro-web of my interest areas). I am also passionate about decentralized networks and open protocols (think Fediverse) on the internet, non-algorithmic and non-monetized social media platforms, and avoiding attention merchants like the plague.
