About me
I am deeply interested in International Relations, with a specific inclination in how diplomacy operates within the framework of international organizations. I’ve developed a passion for analyzing the impact of these organizations on global power dynamics and how they influence regional and international policies. This passion has been strengthened through my academic pursuits and firsthand experience in various geopolitical studies, particularly focusing on regions of strategic importance like the Middle East.
My extensive experience as both a delegate and a presiding officer in Model United Nations (MUN) has been a pivotal factor in shaping my understanding of global diplomacy. These experiences allowed me to engage with the core elements of International Relations—policymaking, negotiations, and collaboration. As a delegate, I’ve represented nations and advocated for their interests in simulated global arenas, refining my ability to navigate complex geopolitical landscapes. As a presiding officer, I’ve had the responsibility of leading committees, guiding discussions, and fostering consensus among participants. This role has honed my leadership skills and provided me with a deeper appreciation for the importance of diplomacy and effective communication in resolving conflicts and building cooperative frameworks.
My research interests lie in Middle East studies, a region I consider central to global geopolitics. The historical, cultural, and political dynamics of the Middle East present unique challenges and opportunities that are critical to understanding contemporary global issues. I am committed to exploring the intersection of diplomacy, conflict, and policy in this region, with a particular focus on how international organizations and regional powers interact.
In addition to my focus on diplomacy and geopolitics, I have a growing interest in op-ed writing and journalism. I believe that effective communication is key to shaping public opinion and influencing policy, and I aim to use writing as a tool for advocacy and education. My interest in Mass Communication and Journalism complements my work in International Relations, providing me with the skills to analyze, interpret, and disseminate complex ideas in a way that is accessible and impactful. Through op-ed writing, I seek to contribute to important conversations on global politics, providing insights that challenge conventional narratives and promote deeper understanding.
