Senior-year biotech student, future geneticist. My passion for biology brought me to the course of biotechnology at Mumbai University, where I am working on SGPT, SGOT, bioassay, identification and screening of different strains. Last semester I completed many techniques, which are ELISA, PAGE, GC-HPLC, UV Spectrophotometer analysis. The most valuable lesson I have learned from MU has been the importance of diagnostics. Even though I knew I wanted to be a in this domain, I have enjoyed getting back to basics of biology and technicality. My class in research methodology, genetics and medical microbiology has provided me with great insights for a future career in analysis, quality control and R&D. This year I have mastered in many techniques such as isolation and immunoassay. I continue to have keen interest to build skills in CRISPR-Cas9 Next year, I hope to complete a on-site internship that will provide real-life experience and important technological skills.
