Mriga is a freelance editor working with independent authors and publishing houses as an editor for books. She has been an editor since 2013, working with multiple publishing houses along the way on her journey. Starting with Aptara in 2013 as a copyeditor working on STEM journals, she graduated to academic journals and books with SAGE Publications. With her interest in books ignited, she soon moved to trade publishing, working full-time with Penguin Random House on their formidable team of editors, liaising with authors, working with different departments to ensure seamless transitions to print-ready manuscripts. As part of the role, she was offered diverse projects ranging from children's books, novels, poetry to biographies, historical fiction, cookbooks, business books and more. Always eager to take up challenges, she switched to freelancing in 2017. Working with publishing houses such as Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Hachette, Juggernaut, Oxford University Press, and Westland since then, Mriga has worked on 100+ books across various genres, both fiction and non-fiction.
