About me

Bridging Technology and Policy with Finance and Humor. From the lower middle class streets of Tirunelveli to the dynamic tech corridors of Hyderabad, my journey started with an IT degree from PSG Tech. After three years at TCS-Microsoft, the microfinance crisis in India made me realize that tech geeks and policymakers were like cats and dogs—constantly at odds. So, I decided to play the mediator and earned a Master’s in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS, on a full scholarship from the Li Ka Shing Foundation. While in Singapore, I not only tackled finance strategy consulting but also couch-surfed (free Airbnb) across 20+ countries, embracing diverse cultures and discovering that an uncomfortable couch can indeed be a teacher. My travel adventures and cultural immersions were a masterclass in global finance and policy. Back in India, I joined Helpr (later Heptagon and now a fully owned subsidiary of Quess Corp.) in 2015. As Head of Growth, I transformed the company from a small team of 8 to a robust family of 185. Imagine running a marathon with a herd of cats—yep, that’s what it felt like. By November 2019, it was time for a new adventure—solving labor market frictions through a skill-based community economy. In 2020, the Bharat Inclusion Research Fellowship allowed us to explore "Data Ownership & the Gig Economy," interviewing 4,060 gig workers across India. This experience was like trying to knit a sweater with noodles while blindfolded—messy, confusing, but ultimately enlightening. COVID accelerated our experiments in creating multiple skill-based communities. Through primary research, secondary research from books and white papers, and our own experiments in running communities while juggling my well-being, we landed on the protocols for The Internet of Value. I believe it'll lead us to a state where you’re not squeezed by the market's greed or the state's hunger for power but by serotonin and oxytocin. To turbocharge this vision, we launched CommunityVentureStudio—a Y Combinator for skill-based communities. Our goal: create a trillion-dollar equitable economy. Think of us as nurturing gardeners than financial overlords. Yes, it's a lofty goal, but it really comes down to my 24 hours and what I can do within that. I optimize my schedule to the extent that I my customGPT urges me to schedule my existential dread. If you’re up for a adrenaline pumping journey filled with more twists and turns than a Hatha yoga session, punctuated by the occasional existential crisis and copious laughter, let’s connect.
