  • My session with Monica was genuinely one of the most insightful conversations I've had in my entire study abroad journey. What stood out was her ability to guide me in ways that others simply couldn't. The information she shared wasn't the generic stuff you find after hours of Googling, it was the kind that fills the real gaps. The things nobody talks about. Especially when it came to scholarships. Monica broke down different funding methods I had no idea existed from lesser-known grants to alternative funding routes and explained them in a way that actually made sense for my situation. It didn't feel like a consultation, it felt like getting advice from someone who genuinely wanted to see me succeed. If you're feeling overwhelmed or stuck in your study abroad process, I can't recommend her enough. She doesn't just answer your questions, she asks the right ones and helps you see a clearer path forward.

About me

Every year, thousands of qualified applicants are rejected from Harvard, Columbia, and the world's top programmes not because their profile is weak, but because their application fails to answer the one question every admissions committee is actually asking. That question is not "what have you achieved?" It is: why you, why this programme, why now, and do you know yourself well enough to answer that honestly? After navigating my own admissions journey across six top US programmes simultaneously, securing over $250,000 in competitive scholarships, and reviewing 50+ applications over five years with first-generation international applicants, I know exactly what that answer looks like, and how to help you find it. MY CREDENTIALS I hold two graduate degrees from Harvard on full scholarship: Harvard Kennedy School (MC/MPA) and Harvard Graduate School of Education. For Harvard Graduate School of Education, I was awarded three competitive scholarships simultaneously: the Aga Khan Scholarship (one of two recipients selected across all of India each year), the Lady Mehrbai D. Tata Education Scholarship (awarded to women pursuing postgraduate studies abroad), and the Tata Trust Scholarship. For Harvard Kennedy School, I was selected as a Fulbright-Nehru Scholar, a $75,000 award covering tuition, airfare, living expenses, and health insurance for the full programme duration. My full scholarship and fellowship portfolio: Fulbright-Nehru Scholar: $75,000 Aga Khan Scholar: one of 2 recipients selected across India per year Lady Mehrbai D. Tata Education Scholarship: awarded to women pursuing postgrad abroad Tata Trust Scholar Harvard President's Innovation Challenge: $75,000 prize SICI Adrian Cheng Fellow: 1 of 14 selected Harvard-wide, $30,000 in project funding Inlaks Scholarship: reached final interview round (up to $120,000) Reliance/Stanford Dhirubhai Ambani Fellowship: top 50 across India (approximately $150,000 value) Total scholarships and prizes personally secured: over $250,000. MY ADMISSIONS TRACK RECORD In 2019, I was admitted to Harvard Graduate School of Education. The following year, in a single application cycle, I received simultaneous admits to Harvard Kennedy School, Columbia SIPA, Georgetown, UChicago, and UC Berkeley MDP, choosing Harvard Kennedy School on a Fulbright-Nehru scholarship. Over the past five years I have worked with first-generation international applicants on their applications to top global programmes. I have reviewed 50+ SOPs and applications. Every applicant I have guided through a complete application, from strategy to final submission, has received an admit to a top-ranked programme globally. I am a TEDx speaker. I have spoken at the Harvard Alumni Forum on what I believe is the single most misunderstood principle in elite admissions: that the authentic, precise articulation of failure and non-linearity wins more admits than a polished record of achievements. I speak regularly at universities and colleges on navigating global admissions. Beyond university admissions, I advise applicants targeting social impact fellowships, including Harvard Innovation Lab, the President's Innovation Challenge, and Harvard-affiliated social innovation programmes. MY SPECIALISATION My particular expertise is applicants who do not fit the conventional mould. Career changers and pivoters: engineers entering policy, corporate professionals moving into social impact, technical backgrounds applying to leadership and humanities programmes. Applicants with career gaps or non-linear journeys who need to frame their path as a strength, not a liability. First-generation international applicants navigating global admissions without institutional support. Strong profiles that are underselling themselves on paper. I have lived this path. I began as an electronics engineer, pivoted to liberal arts, was part of the founding team of an AI and 3D printing startup, built an education nonprofit from the ground up, and secured admission to Harvard twice on full scholarship. My undergraduate CGPA would not have impressed any algorithm. What got me in was knowing exactly what to say, and how. I advise across postgraduate programmes worldwide: public policy, education, MBA, international development, law, social impact, STEM, and beyond, across institutions including Harvard, Columbia, Georgetown, LSE, Sciences Po, Oxford, UChicago, UC Berkeley, and more. THE ONE THING Admissions committees at the world's top programmes are not looking for perfection. They are looking for precision: a clear, honest, self-aware answer to why you, why here, why now. If your journey has been anything but linear, I am the right person to help you answer that question.
