What This Session Includes

This is a full 45-minute system design interview simulation with the same rigor and expectations you'll face at FAANG and top product companies.

How It Works:

Before the Session:

1. Choose your focus: High-Level Design (HLD) or Low-Level Design (LLD).
2. I'll share the problem at the start of the call (no prep needed—that's how real interviews work)

During the 45 Minutes:

Minutes 0-5: Problem Statement

1. I present a real interview-level design problem
2. You ask clarifying questions about requirements and constraints

Minutes 5-35: Design Discussion

1. You drive the design: architecture, components, data flow, trade-offs
2. I evaluate your approach, depth, and communication in real-time
3. I'll ask follow-up questions just like a real interviewer would

Minutes 35-45: Deep Dive + Feedback

1. We drill into 1-2 critical components
2. I point out what worked and what didn't
3. Live feedback on your performance

After the Session:

1. Specific improvement areas with actionable steps
2. Evaluation breakdown: clarity, depth, trade-offs, scalability thinking

What Gets Evaluated:

1. Requirements Gathering: Do you ask the right questions?
2. Structured Thinking: Can you break down the problem systematically?
3. Architecture Decisions: Do you justify your choices with trade-offs?
4. Scalability & Bottlenecks: Can you identify and address weak points?
5. Communication: Can you explain complex ideas clearly?

HLD vs LLD - What to Expect:

High-Level Design (HLD):

1. Focus: Scalability, distributed systems, databases, caching, load balancing, message queues
2. Best for: SDE 2 or SDE2+ roles, backend engineers, those targeting scalability-heavy companies

Low-Level Design (LLD):

1. Focus: OOP principles, design patterns, class diagrams, SOLID principles, extensibility
2. Best for: SDE 1/SDE 2 roles, those facing LLD-heavy interview loops

How to Prepare:

2. Have a pen and paper (or digital whiteboard tool) ready
3. Treat this like a real interview—don't ask for hints unless you're genuinely stuck

2. I won't teach concepts during the call I'll evaluate how you apply what you know
3. Expect real interview pressure and honest feedback
4. If you're looking for "good job" encouragement, this isn't it ,you'll get specific, critical feedback
