About me
Mona is a public policy researcher and communications specialist with diverse experience across government, academia, NGOs, and international organizations. Currently, she is a Project Assistant with UNESCO South Asia working on Ethical AI. Previously, she has worked with Samarth eGov (Ministry of Education, Government of India) - leading academic R&D in higher education; Observer Research Foundation’s (India's Top Think Tank based in New Delhi) Health Initiative and served as a Consultant to the G20 Secretariat at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, during India’s Presidency in 2023.
During this time, she worked with ministers, top government officials, international experts and policymakers on drafting diplomatic documents and technical notes, organizing high-level multi-country consultations and conferences (such as Raisina Dialogue, G20 India Meetings & Events) with stakeholders and writing policy briefs, white papers and expert commentaries.
Her expertise spans global health, ethical AI, gender, health systems, pandemic preparedness, higher education, and humanitarian research, with key projects with the World Bank India, Telangana’s Dept. of Women Development & Child Welfare, and the Human Rights Law Network.
Mona is also the co-founder of INSERCH, an NGO focused on biodiversity & climate change, sustainable practices in rural development and knowledge creation in urban and heritage studies.
Her 5 years of experience in the sector stems from her strong academic background, graduating from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and the University of Delhi.
