Hi, I’m Moitreyee Sarkar, an IIT Bombay graduate with a dual degree in Energy Science & Engineering, currently working as an Assistant Manager at EXL in the GenAI R&D team. My expertise lies in leveraging data science, AI, and product thinking to create innovative solutions that drive business growth and efficiency. Currently, I'm working on fine-tuning Small Language Models (SLMs) to optimize insurance underwriting processes, improving claim accuracy and reducing turnaround time. One of my key projects is a Competitive Intelligence Analyzer, which I developed using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Pinecone to deliver highly relevant market insights, transforming how competitive intelligence is gathered and utilized for strategic decision-making. In addition to technical expertise, I have strong product management experience from my internship at Contlo, where I collaborated with cross-functional teams to create product features, optimize dashboards, and boost client revenue through real-time user segmentation. I’m proficient in Python, SQL, Excel, cutting-edge GenAI tools like Langchain and LlamaIndex, as well as product tools like Power BI, JIRA, and Figma.
