  I recently had a career guidance discussion with Mohit, and it was a very relatable and insightful conversation for me. Like Mohit, I also come from the Salesforce ecosystem and previously worked with Synbeo in Poland. Over time, I started thinking about whether I should completely exit the Salesforce ecosystem to move toward AI and newer technologies. During our discussion, Mohit shared his perspective of not abandoning existing expertise but instead expanding horizons while still leveraging Salesforce knowledge. What stood out to me was how he explained the difference between data analytics and data science in very simple terms — describing data analytics as more focused on descriptive statistics and business insights, while data science leans toward inferential statistics and deeper predictive modeling. He also emphasized how combining business understanding with development experience (like Salesforce) can actually become an edge while transitioning into AI-driven roles. Mohit also shared that he is personally in a learning and transition phase as well — exploring technologies like Python, Hugging Face, FastAPI, and AI application development. I appreciated his honest point that today many professionals are becoming AI application engineers rather than pure AI engineers, and that both paths require continuous learning. It was refreshing to see someone who is still learning, experimenting, and gradually growing their tech stack while respecting the value of their existing expertise. The discussion helped me rethink how to expand my own career direction without rushing to abandon my current strengths.
