About me

Hey there! I'm Mohamad. I'm a PhD student at McGill University working on Reinforcement Learning and Robotics. Before joining McGill, I contributed as a research engineer at Ivy. At Ivy, our mission was to integrate popular machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax, and Numpy. My professional journey also includes a stint as a visiting researcher at the AdaComp lab at the National University of Singapore. I collaborated with Professor Panpan Cai and Professor David Hsu to enhance planning for self-driving vehicles in uncertain situations. My primary research interest lies in reinforcement learning (RL). Over the years, I've delved into various facets of RL, such as enhancing the clarity of RL explanations, ensuring its reliability and safety, and effectively planning and learning in the face of uncertain outcomes. Currently, my focus is on merging RL techniques with robotics. I'm always open to collaboration. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about an RL project or if you're interested in exploring a research collaboration.
