Hello! 👋🏻 My name is Milena Fahr, BA in Criminology. During my uni years, I realised that if I wanted to succeed in my career, I'd have to do more than finish my degree. So I started researching the market, finding patterns in how other students did it, and took several online courses to strengthen my resume. I sent in articles and essays to projects and magazines that needed papers. I joined online associations and expanded my professional network. 🫂 My IRL network came to me for help and advice on how to make themselves more attractive as potential job candidates. I sat down with them and asked them about: – 🔊 Their extracurriculars. My friend participated in a weekly podcast: he didn't think it was useful as experience. What was he saying? That counts as content creation! Another friend was in fashion, she didn't have an online portfolio yet. We made her one. – 📂 I sent them personalized free online courses to strengthen their resumes and to gain new skills depending on their field. – 🤝🏻 I hooked them to associations and projects that could benefit from their contributions. ... and it got them interviews! 📈 💪 WHY DO I DO THIS? Because I believe everyone has potential. If you're already thinking of become proactive in your early career, you've already taken the first step. I was a student scared of the job market, without any confidence in my abilities, and I didn't know what to do.
