About me
Diagnosed with Stage IV endometriosis again at age 37, I had to undergo a hysterectomy and an oophorectomy that put me into surgical menopause. Having undergone 6 surgeries in a span of 10 years, while I did get rid of endometriosis, I set out to prepare myself for what was to come - premature menopause.
But to my disappointment, there was little to no educational information available on the effects and impact of surgical menopause or menopause in general. The community of support for women navigating menopause was non-existent. After having spoken to women close to me, I realized that due to the taboo around conversations about menstruation, most women were not even aware that they were undergoing menopause and continued to suffer in silence. I realized if I research and educate myself on the subject, I have a social obligation to empower more women around me.
Rather than be resigned to the status quo, I decided to document my journey so that others would not have to go into surgery feeling unprepared, and to also support those who didn't know what to expect out of this important transition in life.
I then got certified with THE MENOPAUSE SCHOOL, UK to ensure I impart the right knowledge and information to handhold women through this milestone. I also aim to reach a wider audience through my page LiveFearlessOfficial, an initiative to educate, and create awareness and conversations around Menopause.
With this mission - I wish to empower women and build an ecosystem based on scientific knowledge and support network through The Menopause School, India. to enable more women to take charge of their health proactively so that they can live an independent and more fulfilling life beyond their 40s.
