As a result, I am now able to sit for the PMP 1.5 years earlier than I originally planned. Melissa has been an amazing mentor! She was insightful and used her experience as a teacher turned project manager to help me. Her ebook started my transition in October 2023. Melissa is incredibly knowledgable and friendly which is such a great combination when helping others pivot their careers! Melissa is the real deal... I've had the pleasure of connecting with her on LinkedIn about 6 months ago. In that time, I've seen her showcase kindness, expertise, and authenticity. She is responsive and supportive. Fast forward to me booking a call with Melissa: I provided Melissa content and requested that she review it prior to the call. About me

Hi! I'm a Project Manager and former teacher. If you are a transitioning teacher or career pivoter, I've been in your shoes! Before I was a middle school teacher, I worked in non-profits. I was a program manager, hiring and supervising over 100 staff, and also spent a few years in Guatemala as a country director for an international NGO. It was in these roles (and others) that I gained experience as a hiring manager. Today, I share my career pivot journey and how I successfully transitioned out of the classroom into project management to help others take the steps to transform their careers and lives. I didn't set out to become a coach or consultant. I simply started sharing my own journey out of education. During my own trek towards the PMP, I found there weren't a lot of resources for "non-traditional" project managers, and I wanted to change that. I wrote an ebook/guide to help anyone applying for the PMP. This guide has helped many people successfully apply and get accepted to take the PMP! I want to help anyone ready to dive in and make changes to their work and career. Let's figure out a plan and get you moving forward!
