About this product

Description

You got the brief. Now you have to turn it into a shoot.

Brief to Shoot is a single file you open in your browser. Drop in the creative director's brief (a PDF, Word file, PowerPoint deck, Excel sheet, or pasted notes) and it takes you through the paperwork:

  1. It lists what the brief does not say, ranked by what blocks planning.
  2. It turns those into one numbered message you can send the creative director, and fills your answers back in when they reply.
  3. It builds the scenes, shots, a draft schedule, checklists, deliverables, budget lines and tasks.
  4. It checks your schedule for clashes: overlapping blocks, people booked in two places, people scheduled when they are not free, scenes nobody scheduled.
  5. It prints your call sheet and tracks the project to final delivery.

The one rule: the AI never fills a creative gap. If the brief does not say it, the tool asks. It never adds scenes, shots, locations, cast, props or visual ideas, and it never writes a money amount. Every creative decision stays with the creative director. Every rupee is typed by you.

What you get

  • brief-to-shoot.html, the tool (opens in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox)
  • A short start-here guide
  • The prompts as plain text files, so you can use them anywhere
  • A finished sample project to look at first

Who it is for

Producers, project managers, line producers and small production houses who plan shoots from a creative director's brief.

What you need

  • A modern browser
  • Your own Claude or ChatGPT account. You paste two prompts into it. The tool itself needs no account and no install.

Good to know

  • Your projects are saved in your own browser on one computer. Use Export file to keep a backup.
  • One person, one browser. There is no live team sharing. Share by printing a PDF or exporting a project.
  • The schedule is a draft. Check it against your real locations, cast and light.
  • Scanned files and decks made only of images have no text to read. Paste the text in instead.
  • It does not generate storyboards or any creative.

FAQ

Does it do the creative work?

No. That is the point. It only does execution: gaps, scenes, shots, schedule, lists, budget lines, call sheet, tracking.

Do I need to pay for AI? You need a Claude or ChatGPT account. Check which plan covers your brief length.

Is my brief uploaded anywhere? The tool never sends anything. You paste prompts into your own AI account yourself, so check that provider's terms before pasting confidential client material.

Will it work on my phone? It opens, but it is built for a laptop.
