About me
Opposite to the flourishing prosperity in the past 18 months, the global computer hardware and semiconductor industry is facing an excess of supply in 2023. This is because the industry is negatively affected by the low demand for consumer electronics, high inflation, and rising interest rates. This is why currently the top 3 semiconductor trends are:
1. Consumer electronics facing low demand
2. Automotive Chips fueling semiconductor growth
3. The US-China chip war continuously harming the industry
Although the demand for consumer electronics may remain low, fortunately, semiconductors power everything from consumer electronics such as smartphones and gaming consoles, to electric vehicles, and the automotive chips play a strong growth momentum to fuel semiconductors and other electronics hardware.
I think these products will continue to boost the semiconductor sector over the next several years, and I believe, 2024 will be a better year.
This is why as an Electronics Engineer, specialized in Hardware Design and Validation, I'm still focused on driving the development and delivery of high-quality Data Center Hardware, Firmware and Software products, while fostering continuous technical innovation and customer support; as well as:
• Leading the external customer facing efforts including the system design, board design, validation, and application engineering initiatives related to the development of next generation Data Center Servers and Storage products.
• Managing the interactions with design teams and manufacturing partners and leading the qualification methods and results analysis to enable the development and deployment of processor, chipset, and system architecture.
• Driving the pre-Silicon, post-silicon design and validation process, including high-speed PCIe protocols, as well as developing VHDL programs and system Verilog, while determining the SoC (System on a Chip) architecture design.
• Performing post-silicon validation and system level debug, including the use of electronic bench and laboratory equipment, and development of validation test plans for commercial grade PCB designs for enterprise products.
• Technical program management of key customer designs, establishment of the communication process, status updates, scheduling, risk management, issue mitigation, recovery actions, and speaking in industry conferences.
• Utilizing design tools, programming software, and hardware systems (Linux OS, Matlab, Simulink, FPGA, Microcontrollers), coding (C, C++, Python), and debugging digital circuits and RTL code using simulation tools.
