Hey! I’m Mayank, an IC3 Software Engineer at Freshworks with 5+ years of experience in software engineering, primarily working on backend systems with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, APIs, databases, and system design. Before Freshworks, I spent over 4 years at Goldman Sachs, where I worked on large-scale financial technology systems. I got the opportunity to build and design microservices, work with event-driven architectures, improve system reliability and observability, modernize applications, and solve real-world scalability and security challenges. I also led a pod of engineers, which gave me valuable experience beyond just writing code. Over time, I’ve realized that I really enjoy helping other engineers learn, prepare for interviews, and figure out their next career move. I’ve personally gone through the process of preparing for technical interviews and navigating the transition into product-based companies, so I understand that it can sometimes feel overwhelming — especially when you’re not sure what to focus on. My approach to mentoring is simple: I don’t believe in just memorizing interview questions or giving textbook answers.
