I am a passionate and creative problem solver with a track record of finding innovative solutions to complex issues. My approach to problem-solving is rooted in a curious mindset, allowing me to think outside the box and develop fresh, innovative ideas that help businesses and startups grow, innovate, and become profitable. As a co-founder of two social impact startups, OweYaa and Essteem/Equalithons, I explored new ways to upskill and hire marginalized communities in the tech industry. At OweYaa, I helped the startup reach a 3.2 million valuation, and at Essteem/Equalithons, I developed partnerships with influential organizations such as Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, FLIK, PowertoFly, Apprenti, and Code for America. These partnerships helped us stay ahead of the curve in innovation and impact. I scaled the growth of Essteem and Equalithons by securing clients such as Clorox, Wells Fargo, Reddit, and Headspace. Our diverse tech community experienced an impressive 10% monthly growth, building a network that exceeded 25K people with an extended community of 300K. I also secured our startup's admission into NYU Veterans Future Lab and the LVMH accelerator La Maison des Startups. My current project, Curious Culture, helps leaders and teams develop a curiosity mindset to be more innovative, inclusive, and impactful. I help them ideate on ways to incorporate web3 tools to better manage hybrid workforces through initiatives like Web3DEI and Black Women in Web3. My diverse background, as a military spouse, senior editor, and founder of a movement that empowers parents to raise culturally aware and socially conscious children, has equipped me with a broad range of perspectives and insights.
