I began my professional life exploring various roles in audit, general accounts, and corporate banking. My first stable role came at JP Morgan, where I handled CDS DTCC Confirmations, marking the only period in my career without leadership responsibilities. Moving to ABN AMRO was a turning point, where I led a young Global Equity Derivatives Documentation Team—an experience that defined the first decade of my career. Following the transition to Royal Bank of Scotland, I led the Interest Rate Derivatives Investigations (Post Settlements) Team. At Nomura, I managed Equity Derivatives Middle Office responsibilities and also contributed to the India Operations Training Team, rounding off my first decade in the industry. The second phase of my career began at SmartStream Technologies, Mumbai, where I’ve spent the past 11 years. Here, I’ve been fortunate to delve into various aspects of the Fees and Expense Management business. This role has been a comprehensive learning experience, encompassing core operations, HR, vendor management, audit, project management, change management, admin, human psychology, budgeting, contract management, documentation, team dynamics, technical operations, business analysis, training, and client management and more.
