Hi, I’m Manvi Gupta. I am an Assistant Professor of Economics, and I qualified UGC NET (Economics) with a 99.63 percentile. I have previously been associated with the Economics Department at IIM Bangalore. I teach Economics across multiple curricula, including: • EC1002 – Introduction to Economics (LSE-led, University of London) • IBDP Economics (HL & SL) • Cambridge AS & A Level Economics (9708) I have always found myself explaining economics to others — first to classmates before exams, and now to students across classrooms and screens. My teaching philosophy is simple: effective learning begins with understanding where a student is starting from. Even if the syllabus is the same, the learning journey is not. A student with a strong mathematical background and one without require very different explanations, pacing, and practice. For this reason, I work primarily in a 1:1 format, where I take time to understand a student’s background, comfort with mathematics, and learning style, and then design personalised notes, worksheets, and practice strategies. When economics is explained well, it becomes intuitive rather than intimidating. My goal is to help students build clarity, structure their thinking, and approach exams with confidence.
