About me

Welcome to my profile πŸ‘‹πŸ½ My name is Manny πŸ’‘ *All opinions are my own and all career coaching services I provide are separate from my current employer* If you've come this far chances are you're a student, SWE, or job seeker. Students: I recruiter for SWE (AI, ML, Data Science) interns at Intuit SWEs: Since I'm a University Recruiter I do not recruiter for anything outside of interns or new college grads Job Seekers: If you'd like to connect please add a note to your request, and send me a message once we connect Fun Facts: - I have over 30 Funko Pops - I one wheel - I Love Anime - I have a 2 y/o daughter & a baby boy - Love to read poetry - Retired festival goer - Love Halloween MY STORY I struggled alone SO MUCH when I was in college. I'm a first generation college graduate who went from being homeless to working in a dream job in tech. I’ve experienced all of the challenges that come along with being first generation including not having mentors or anyone to talk to about what I was going through. I worked multiple jobs while in school and felt like I wasn't good enough for internships so I never applied. I realize now that mentorship plays such a key role in our journey. It can help us grow to our full potential and it's what helped me break into tech. But mentorship isn't easily accessible and I believe it's not because people don't want to help others, It's because there are not enough people who have experienced mentorship and know how to give that gift back to others. That's why my MOTTO is Lift While You Climb. 🎯 My goal is to empower diverse young professionals and first generation college students to break into tech. I believe the key is mentorship. πŸ“– For the past 5+ years I've worked in workforce development as a recruiter, career services, facilitator, and conduit supporting 1000+ diverse talent find employment at top companies. πŸ“–πŸ“– I've had the opportunity to be in multifaceted roles such as a Career Services Manager at two respectable coding bootcamps and I’ve worked in the non-profit sector developing young diverse talent by creating pathways for them to be noticed by recruiters and hired at top companies like Meta, PayPal, Amazon, Apple, LinkedIn, Tesla, Lyft. πŸ”₯ Highlights -I've built communities with 10k+ job seeker members -30+ Speaking engagements/ professional development events worldwide -24k+ attendees at my events -Collaborated with 150+ recruiters, career coaches and hiring managers -Helped 10+ job seekers land jobs through Clubhouse
