I am Manai Mohamed Mortadha, a Senior AI Engineer at Netflix, an Explainable AI (XAI) Researcher at Saint Mary’s University, and an AI Expert Consultant for Tegus and Wivenn, with over five years of deep, hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, NLP, generative AI, and advanced analytics. My work significantly improved personalization frameworks, delivering more relevant and engaging experiences while strengthening my expertise in recommendation systems and AI-driven analytics. At Google, through a competitive AI internship program in London, I gained hands-on experience deploying machine learning and deep learning models on Google Cloud, mastering cloud-based AI infrastructure, data processing pipelines, and scalable model deployment. This program solidified my ability to turn complex algorithms into practical, operational solutions that deliver measurable value. My time at Microsoft further expanded my expertise in enterprise-level AI, where I built and deployed predictive models and ML solutions on the Azure platform, optimizing workflows and automating processes. This experience gave me a strong foundation in cloud-based ML solutions and reinforced my skills in deploying efficient, scalable AI systems in large-scale environments. In academia and research, I am deeply committed to advancing Explainable AI and sustainable innovation. At Saint Mary’s University, I contributed to the InsightAI project, developing XAI tools and leveraging social neural networks to illuminate auditor-client relationships. By analyzing complex financial patterns with deep learning and XAI techniques, I helped improve transparency, accountability, and decision-making in auditing processes. I have authored notable research papers, including “Revolutionizing Vocal Track Extraction” and GRNIX: Graph Neural Networks for Explainable Gene Regulatory Networks,* contributing pioneering insights to NLP, hybrid neural networks, and XAI. As a consultant for Tegus and Wivenn, I guide global clients through the full lifecycle of AI projects, from strategic design to production deployment. I integrate LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and generative AI into scalable solutions, leveraging cloud environments like GCP, AWS, and Azure, while ensuring MLOps/LLMOps best practices and data privacy compliance. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven insights, operational optimizations, and innovative products that create measurable impact. I am a technical reviewer at Packt Publisher, evaluating books on XAI, Python, generative AI, and data science to ensure high-quality content reaches learners worldwide. I have taught AI and Python at Smart Skills Academy, mentored the Google Developer Student Club , and inspired students through hands-on projects that translate theory into practice.
