Mahrukh ‘Maya’ Hasan (any pronouns) is the founder and technical advisor at Fearless Project, an online education start-up for workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion, where she helps social impact leaders design workplaces where everyone can flourish. Maya is an award-winning entrepreneur, community builder, and change maker. She is a globally-recognized diversity, equity, and inclusion leader with expertise in research, design, communications, strategy, project management, and human resources, focusing on facilitation, coaching, advising, and organizational development. Maya is passionate about intersectional, evidence-based, accessible, and innovative approaches to co-create lasting change for women, Global South, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled people, while fully engaging those in power. Maya has 20 years of non-profit, humanitarian, and development experience focused on social and behavior change, media development, community engagement, and civil society support, mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. She has lived and worked in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, CAR, DRC, Myanmar, Senegal, South Sudan, and Thailand.
