Mock Interview - HLD (High Level System Design)

If you’re preparing for system design interviews at top tech companies, you already know how critical it is to get the high-level design right. As an SDE-2 at Amazon, I’ve been on both sides of the table — designing scalable systems and evaluating others on their design thinking.

In this mock session, we’ll walk through a real HLD question and focus on:

• Clarifying requirements and defining scope
• Identifying key components and interactions
• Choosing the right technologies (databases, queues, caches, etc.)
• Scaling strategies, trade-offs, and bottleneck discussions
• Real-time feedback on structure, clarity, and depth

This is ideal if you’re targeting mid to senior-level roles and want to confidently explain how you’d build large-scale systems.
