About Me I’m Isuru 👋 – an AI engineer, educator, and consultant who enjoys two things a bit too much: shipping real ML systems and helping others learn how to do the same. Right now I’m Head of AI Engineering at Veracity Group, leading teams across NLP, Computer Vision, and Data Analytics. I also run Zuu Crew, where I design and teach multi-week AI & ML programs for South Asia and beyond – focused on turning learners into production-ready engineers. On the consulting side, I’ve worked on: • Digital banking & fintech – real-time fraud detection and risk-scoring pipelines for a major Sri Lankan bank • Recruitment & HR tech – LLM-powered recruitment automation (CV parsing, candidate ranking, matching) • Telecom at scale – large-scale prediction systems and data pipelines serving millions of users • Document AI & OCR – Sinhala OCR for printed + handwritten documents, end-to-end from data → deployment • Teaching & lecturing – assistant / visiting lecturer roles in ML at universities and institutes in Sri Lanka So most of my time is spent either designing AI systems for money-moving, fraud-catching, or data-heavy products, or teaching people how to think like an AI engineer instead of just following tutorials.
