About me

Hi, I'm Lokesh, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Konstanz working at the intersection of Soft Matter, Thermodynamics, and Data-Driven Research. I completed my B.Tech. in Engineering Physics from IIT Guwahati and my Ph.D. from IIT Madras as a Prime Minister's Research Fellow (PMRF). Before pursuing my Ph.D., I worked as a Research Associate at Cognizant, where I developed machine learning solutions for face recognition and Q&A systems. This blend of physics and AI has shaped my approach to research, combining computational tools with fundamental scientific problems. I founded the SMART Initiative (Soft Matter and Research in Thermodynamics) to make research reproducible and actionable. Rather than presenting only the final results of a paper, I focus on teaching the underlying methodologies through hands-on sessions covering order parameters, computational workflows, experimental protocols, and reproducible data-analysis pipelines. If you're a student or researcher looking to understand how research is actually done not just what was published I'd be happy to help you build the skills and workflows you can directly apply to your own work.
