From founded to funded - In the last 4 years, I have helped 16 high-growth startups in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and the UK grow, build & deliver on their investor stories (plus secure funding), by using a community-led growth model (with raises of between $600k AUD & $6mil AUD). StudioSpace is a great exemplar of this. Connecting exceptional indie agencies with big brands that mean business, StudioSpace is a marketplace designed around both its agency and client communities. It’s been wonderful to design, develop, and nurture the agency community in particular - literally starting from scratch and, today, boasting an engaged community of over 300 agencies globally (with another 80+ on the waitlist). I also get to rub shoulders with some of the best community leaders in the world, and I love representing The Community Collective in a partnerships capacity as part of my portfolio of roles. Together, our vision is to lead a global movement that establishes community building as the most impactful business strategy. As a fractional remote professional with substantial experience in startup advisory and serving in the founding team of numerous startups, part of the perks of my work is that I get to look after multiple brands and various communities simultaneously - which means I get to be a hyper connector who brings the accumulated learnings and insights from my broader network to everything I do. I’m also involved (whether in an advisory capacity or as a founder) in several communities. One that I’m particularly proud of is the Fomo Killer Society (FKS) - a free WhatsApp community for Community Builders, Founders and Operators in ANZ which I co-created with the incredible Alan Crabbe and Paz Pisarski.
