Mock Technical Interview - Coding

Knowing enough to pass an interview is one thing - it's different when you're under pressure!

In this hour we'll go through a mock interview targeted to your needs and level of experience. This can be conducted in R, Python, or Rust.

You'll get a choice of the level of support you want, and we can vary it throughout the interview. We can do full paired programming - going back and forth on a problem in turn - which helps you develop your skills in a lower pressure environment. At the other end of the scale I can keep all your feedback silent until after the interview.

Schedule

I'll provide you with a task at the start of the session, and talk it through with you.

We start the task - you ask any appropriate questions - and start to code in an interactive environment. You'll receive feedback at the level you wanted, although if you're struggling I'll also jump in to help where possible.

After 45 minutes, we bring the task to an end, discuss any immediate feedback, how you're feeling about it, where you wanted to take the task with more time, etc.

After the call

You'll receive a more indepth review of the code you wrote, and a copy of my notes from the interview.

I'll provide code examples of different approaches to the problem, individualised to the any issues you experienced, as well as recommendations for where you improve your code in the future.
