  • I had the pleasure of connecting with Lavanya after attending a RAPS networking event, and I am incredibly grateful for the time and guidance she provided. She took the time to understand my goal of transitioning into Regulatory Affairs and offered thoughtful, practical advice on preparing for the RAC Devices examination, building relevant knowledge, and approaching my career transition strategically. Lavanya was generous in sharing her experience and provided clear direction on mentorship opportunities, professional organizations, networking, and resources that can help me move forward. Her guidance was thorough, encouraging, and tailored to my current experience and goals. What stood out most was her genuine willingness to support and mentor someone entering the field. I left our conversation feeling more confident, focused, and motivated. I would highly recommend Lavanya as a mentor to anyone seeking knowledgeable, approachable, and sincere guidance in Regulatory Affairs.

About me

I’m a U.S. based Regulatory Affairs professional with 8+ years of experience across cardiovascular and diabetes technologies. I moved from India to the U.S. to pursue a Master’s in Medical Device & Diagnostic Engineering at University of Southern California, a course that is the perfect blend of Biomedical Engineering and Regulatory. I love working at the intersection of technology, strategy, and scientific writing to help innovative products reach patients safely and globally. My passion is personal: family experiences with cardiovascular disease and diabetes shaped my commitment to this field, and it’s been a happy coincidence that my career so far has focused in these same therapeutic areas. I’ve worked across traditional medical devices and have since pivoted into SaMD, digital health, and algorithm-driven closed-loop systems. I’m currently at Insulet, and previously worked at Abbott, BD, and Medtronic.
