I am a scientist 👩🏻‍🔬 with – • 11+ years in life science research, disease biology and therapeutic development • 6+ years as a data scientist and computational biologist • 5+ years as an omics expert, especially in spatial biology, proteomics, transcriptomics and genomics. • 6+ years in Oncology and Immunology • 5+ years working with clinical trials, cohort and data As an enthusiastic and motivated person, who loves learning and is always up for a challenge 💪🏼, I like to explore novel opportunities and research areas, moving across disciplines. I am particularly invested in data science and AI applications in healthcare and therapeutics. My research journey involves multiple research projects with extensive lab experience, as well as computational biology. I hold a PhD, specializing in bioinformatics, oncology and immunology, moving into the world of data science and machine learning 👩🏻‍💻. I am an expert in pipeline development and biomarker discovery using machine learning and deep learning algorithms as well as advanced data visualization exploring omics datasets (proteomics, transcriptomics, single cell sequencing, bulk sequencing etc.); particularly, spatial omics, multi-omics and computer vision. I am skilled in R and Python (R studio, JupyterLab, VS Code), with excellent background of FAIR data principles and use – Git Version control, Conda, Docker and Nextflow to build and deploy my pipelines 💻. I have honed my project management and leadership skills by initiating and driving 15+ projects ✍🏻, training 9+ students and teaching at master-level courses 👩🏻‍🏫. My research interest is supplemented with my tech-transfer knowledge 👩🏻‍💼, as I have undergone additional training in non-scientific modules such as entrepreneurship, value creation and innovation process; targeted towards developing business skills for accelerating transference of academic research to implementation 📈. With strong adaptability, and the ability to transfer skills and knowledge from across disciplines, I am particularly suited for positions which require cross-functional collaborations and are innovation driven.
