Greetings, I'm Komal, I center my work around 3 main endeavors. Firstly, as a visual designer, I bring self-published books to life through illustrations and design, enhancing the reading experience by capturing the essence of the narratives. Secondly, on my Instagram page @emotionallywise_artist, I share stories and artwork that inspire self-reflection and emotional growth, fostering a deeper relationship with oneself. Lastly, I have a particular knack for creating artwork that resonates with adults and evokes their inner childlike wonder by infusing elements of playfulness, and vibrant colors into my illustrations. I believe that no matter our age, there is a part of us that still yearns for the joy and imagination we experienced as children. As a visual designer, I specialize in book designs with a deep understanding of illustrations, typography, color theory, and composition, I create visually appealing book designs that captivate readers. Leveraging my background in architecture, having studied at NIT Trichy, I bring a unique perspective to my illustrations, incorporating principles of design and spatial awareness to create visually engaging and immersive artwork. I served as the Design Editor for Feeds, the official magazine and media house of NIT Trichy. This invaluable experience allowed me to further develop my skills in print design. I have had the pleasure of working on several notable book design projects, including 'Admitted' and 'Unshackled' by author Soundarya Balasubramani, which feature over 150 illustrations. Another notable project is 'Tech Simplified' by Author Deepak Singh, where I created visually appealing layouts that simplify complex technical concepts for readers. Additionally, I had the opportunity to design 'The Little Book of Reflections', 'Setty Sparks' by Author Rajesh Setty, a collection of insightful thoughts and reflections accompanied by thought-provoking illustrations. Furthermore, I have extensive experience designing a diverse range of creative projects, including book covers, poem books, quote books, journals, magazines, and logos. Throughout my 4 years of freelancing, which I began during my third year of my UG programme, I have successfully completed over 50 design projects and 20 self projects, honing my skills and delivering exceptional results.
