About me

Hi, I’m Khyati! My journey in healthcare began over 10 years ago in India, where I studied pharmacy and became fascinated by how medicines safely reach patients. As I learned more about regulations, I realized regulatory affairs was my true calling—so I took a leap and moved to the US to pursue this passion. I’m passionate about making healthcare safer, smarter, and more accessible through regulatory strategy and innovation. Currently, I work at Medtronic on cutting-edge technologies like coronary and renal denervation devices and digital health software (SaMD). Previously, I supported continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and diabetes care products at Abbott, cardiopulmonary medicine devices at Third Pole Therapeutics, and infusion therapies at Smiths Medical (now ICU Medical). I genuinely enjoy being the bridge between innovative ideas and patient safety, helping bring breakthrough technologies to life. One of my proudest moments was contributing to the RAPS Global Handbook (“Fundamentals of Medical Device Regulations: A Global Perspective”)—knowing my work helps others in the field makes it all worthwhile. I also love mentoring others, especially international students who, like me, have made the journey to the US to chase their dreams in regulatory. Serving on the RAPS Convergence Awards Committee and supporting the next wave of professionals keeps me inspired and motivated. I believe regulatory affairs isn’t just about compliance—it’s about bridging innovation with patient safety and empowering teams to bring life-changing technologies to market. If you’re looking to connect with someone who’s walked the international student path, brings energy and real-world know-how, and is genuinely passionate about sharing knowledge, I’d love to chat!
