Ketan is a Master’s student in Molecular Life Sciences at the University of Lübeck, Germany 🇩🇪 with a background in Biotechnology and experience spanning translational research, life sciences operations, venture scouting, & scientific community building. His work sits at the intersection of biology, innovation, & execution. He has built hands-on experience across cancer biology, RNA sequencing, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and neurodiagnostics, while also taking on roles that required program management, cross-functional coordination, and ecosystem building. As a MITACS GRI 2024 Fellow at CRCHUM, Université de Montréal 🇨🇦, he contributed to prostate cancer research in the Rodier Lab, studying KAT5 modulation during cellular senescence using RNA-seq and molecular biology workflows. At BARC 🇮🇳, his undergraduate thesis focused on the expression, purification, and functional characterization of a putative DNA damage response protein in Deinococcus radiodurans, combining experimental work with computational analysis. He also gained exposure to drug discovery workflows during his internship at Biotech Park Lucknow, where he worked on cryptic pocket identification, molecular docking, and protein-ligand interaction analysis. Alongside research, Ketan has increasingly moved toward industry-facing and operational roles in biotech and health innovation. At BioSignatures Tech, he works across R&D operations in an interdisciplinary setting, contributing to biomarker development, multi-omics analysis, grant writing, panel design, and research coordination. As Operations Director at Synthica 🇻🇳, he focuses on building scalable systems and improving day-to-day execution and organizational productivity. At Nucleate 🌎, he supports membership management across 40+ chapters and 800+ volunteers globally, helping strengthen onboarding systems for one of the leading biotech entrepreneurship communities. As a Venture Scout at LongeVC 🇺🇸, he evaluates early-stage medtech startups and facilitates founder-investor connections around potential investment opportunities. What ties these experiences together is a strong interest in turning scientific ideas into real-world impact. Ketan is especially interested in biotech, translational medicine, health innovation, venture and startup ecosystems, life sciences strategy, and R&D-driven industry roles. He enjoys working in interdisciplinary, international environments and is motivated by opportunities where science, systems thinking, and innovation come together to solve meaningful problems.
