About me
I'm a Computer Science student at Harold Washington College, passionate about building innovative technology solutions and advocating for equitable tech pathways. I work as a software engineering apprentice at Allstate, where I've gained hands-on experience coding in a large corporate setting.
In addition, I'm a fellow in the Break Through Tech AI/ML program, where I'm working toward understanding and building AI applications from the ground up. In the America Needs You Fellowship Program, I've been able to build a set of soft skills complementary to my technical skill foundations, which can be shown in my academic and professional growth over the past year. I'm also quite interested in the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and quantum computing, and am actively exploring these sectors through workshops, conferences, and training programs.
My involvement with organizations such as Girls Who Code and Discovery Partners Institute has helped me forge my path thus far, and I wear a variety of hats in council positions, near-peer mentorship roles, and presentations, contributing to a future where everyone can not only see themselves in tech, but are enabled with resources to get them there. I'm known in my peer and professional groups to be an excellent resource-connector, and am always happy to help guide others on their path with advice I wish I had earlier along my journey.
Outside of work, school, and enrichment activities, I also love theater, and can often be found going to see musicals, performing in school plays, and practicing improv around Chicago.
