I identify as a wanderer, an explorer and a dedicated go-getter! My roots lie in India and an upbringing which has instilled in me a fierce sense of competitiveness. I possess an affinity for problems and challenges, considering them as opportunities rather than obstacles. Be it the pandemic or other catastrophic challenges, life’s lessons have ingrained in me the importance of seizing these chances, knowing the discomfort that arises when they are disregarded. My professional journey has been a quest to unravel answers to some of the most intricate queries. With a Master’s degree in Chemistry from National Institute of Science Education and Research - India, my academic path has been both focused and dynamic. My academic tenure at institutions like Homi Bhabha National Institute and IIT-Bombay honed my expertise enabling me with a robust foundation in scientific research and a knack for analytical thinking. Beyond academia, I have ventured into the professional arena, collaborating with diverse government agencies in India where I had the privilege of working alongside a wide spectrum of stakeholders, ranging from budding startups and incubators to various government departments and agencies. Now, yet again I have set out on reverse engineering my life. Currently, as a Graduate Student in Duke University, I am working on designing affordable and accessible Medical devices for deployment in low income countries.
