I am MBA student graduating in April 2024, navigating a career in the field of climate change. I aspire to contribute towards the global industrial effort of transition towards net zero future and circular economy. I have 6+ years of experience in strategy consulting for the energy & sustainability sector. Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working on impactful projects, such as developing decarbonization strategies for an international maritime firm, formulating emission mitigation pathways for an European paper manufacturer, charting a roadmap for an oil and gas major venturing into the hydrogen economy, and conducting comprehensive life cycle assessments for a prominent carpet manufacturer. Building on the foundation of my consultancy background, my tenure as an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corp Fellow with a maritime firm provided me with an extended period to delve deeper into the subject matter. During this time, I was able to meticulously analyze granular emission data, identify critical emission points, and propose cost-effective and impactful solutions for emission mitigation. Moreover, I gained valuable insights into prioritizing decarbonization pathways while calculating the marginal carbon abatement costs associated with various sustainability measures. Collaborating with stakeholders from different sectors, including within the organization, policy, research organizations, and technology providers further underscored the realization that in addition to economic feasibility, overcoming obstacles such as environmental justice and behavioral & Cultural factors are crucial in realizing the ultimate goal of achieving net zero emissions. With developing and developed nations across the globe increasingly committing funds and grants towards sustainable business practices, the landscape of sustainability careers is poised for significant growth. It is my sincere aspiration to be an integral part of this dynamic profession, leveraging my technological skills, industry experience, and academic knowledge to make meaningful contributions towards shaping a sustainable future.
