About me

TL;DR version: As an educator, I help makers grasp the fundamentals of product design (aka UI/UX) and business design (aka product management). As a practitioner, I consult and advice product teams of fortune 50, highly funded startups and everyone in between to make better digital products. As a coach, I help designers and product managers to make better digital products. As a community builder, I build a tribe of makers and enable them to learn and grow. As a creator, I am building a maker's ecosystem this lifetime. Passionate version: Think. Articulate. Sketch. Design. Iterate. Repeat. Doing the above from the year 2003. Between 2000-2003 I was coding in C++ heads-down. I am kicked about business transformation using design thinking and doing. Having worked in several sectors like pharma, e-commerce, technology, education, banking and finance, insurance, product development across various parts of the globe for the past 20+ years, I don't seem to be getting over with it, yet :) As a hands-on designer and a product maker (yup ! even today) I learn every day about new tools, changing trends, moving patterns and shifting behaviours of the human being. My conviction is HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) is directly proportional to the growth of technology. For crafting more meaningful solutions, I keep myself invested and updated with the emerging tech world. While I am grounded with realities of feasibilities, I keep flying high with the imagination of possibilities. Somewhere in between, I keep delivering utmost value to the customer's context. The product manager in me constantly thinks about value for the user and bottom line for the business together. The designer in me strives hard to craft meaningful solutions for the customers despite all the constraints. To do all this I heavily use data (in all forms) to persuade, dissuade, negotiate and influence with all stakeholders. In my everyday job, I heavily collaborate with the C-suite to growth hack the business using strategic design. I love problems, so loving problem solvers is imperative. I have a voice (not a brand) and I use it responsibly to craft product makers and leaders globally via education, writing, speaking, doing and coaching. Design is more than a passion and a profession for me. Shall we call it a path that I walk on, for now :) Business, Design, Product, and Data are interrelated. For a problem solver, one without the other is not holistic. I dabble at the intersection of design, data, business, and technology.
