Hi, I’m Karan! A former Investment banker turned strategist and operator creative economy. I'm currently part of the CEO’s Office at JioSaavn, where I lead CorpDev, Strategy & Operations for South Asia’s largest music streaming platform. From scaling core verticals of Growth, Subscriptions and Advertising Content Licensing, to strategising the launch of creator platforms like ArtistOne, I get to work on the front lines of how Intellectual Property meets business. I started off my Investment Banking at Nomura, where I spent four years between India and London in the Leveraged Finance team, structuring blue-chip buyouts for top global private equity funds across sectors like media, tech, and healthcare. Post banking, I transitioned into venture investing, backing early-stage startups across Asia and Africa that blended high-growth potential with meaningful social impact. Now, as I gear up to join London Business School, I’m excited to deepen my focus on opportunities at the intersection of finance, media, and the creative economy, a space I am deeply passionate about. Beyond work, I’m a lifelong musician, vinyl collector, and cocktail enthusiast who believes in the power of culture, capital, and storytelling.
