I’m Karan Jain, currently an MBA student at SPJIMR, with 22 months of experience in finance across both startup and MNC environments. My journey began as a Financial Analyst at AssetPlus, a Zerodha-funded startup, where I managed wealth portfolios for 200+ clients, with an AUM of INR 5 crore in mutual funds, FDs, and NPS. Here, I developed a strong foundation in client management and investment strategies. Later, I joined Elsevier as an FP&A Analyst, where I became the sole analyst responsible for revenue tracking and forecasting in the Open Access division, handling over $200M in revenues. My role focused on supporting senior management’s decision-making, including pricing variance analysis across regions like EMCA and the U.S. In academics, I’ve cleared two levels of CFA and earned a gold medal in my undergrad. Outside of work, I’m passionate about fitness, cricket, and mentoring, having guided over 300 students through an NGO initiative.
