I am Kanishk Jaiswal, a third-year IPM student at IIM Indore. Since the first lockdown in 2020, I have been on a path to becoming financially literate, creating wealth and, most importantly, learn. What started as a mere interest in finance and learning about and investing in the stock market has turned into managing investments for 5+ profiles, CFA level 1 and a finance-centric newsletter. After applying to hundreds of internships via cold emails and hundreds of rejections, I believe consistency can beat luck; at least, that worked for me. I talk about what I learned as someone trying to make a career in IB/VC/PE and portfolio management.
