Kanika is a Lead UX Researcher with experience working at Google in the United States where she led research for multiple Google Hardware and Google Workspace products. She is currently based in Singapore where she worked for Grab leading consumer research for South-East Asian markets for initiatives such as launching a subscription program, enhancing engagement through user-generated content, new user growth and more. Kanika now runs a boutique consulting company called Empathy Research Labs that specialises in User Experience and Product Strategy consulting. Empathy Research partners with product companies, large and small to build and launch consumer products leveraging the human-centred design approach. Kanika has earned her Masters from University of Maryland in College Park. Given her experiences studying in the US, cracking multiple FAANG interviews, working in both US and Singapore, Kanika can mentor on studying abroad, finding a UX Research job in the United States and Singapore, breaking into UX Research, resume and portfolio reviews as well as UXR interview prep!
