Hi, this is Kajol here and I have more than 6 years of experience in various content development roles. One and a half year ago, I decided to become a full-time freelancer. To begin with, my decision to leave the security of a full-time job was certainly not easy. I still remember how I could not send in my resignation for almost a month. But why did I take the plunge? There are too many reasons actually. After studying Law, I pursued Journalism because I felt it was something I always wanted to do. I love talking to people, knowing their stories and documenting them in words/pictures. However, after 5 years of being a journalist, I started doubting myself. To make matters worse, work didn't seem exciting anymore. So was I at fault? Well, certainly not. I realised that I was looking for work where I could actually make a difference and something which will help me carve my own identity. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. But I do wish I had taken the plunge before.
