It is one of the reasons I majored in Accounting from my B.Sc to my PhD and never found it boring. My interest in data was piqued during my time in the Big 4. I came across a huge data set while reconciling a client's financial data for tax computations and recognized how powerful cleaned data was. What great insights could be uncovered from data with the right tools and competence. I started researching how best I could leverage my knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact in the tech community and there began my journey. This experience fueled my determination to bridge the gap between accounting and technology, ultimately shaping my path toward becoming a Data Analyst. I am excited about transitioning into the tech realm, as a self-taught Data Analyst proficient in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Tableau. This newfound enthusiasm, coupled with my expertise in accounting, positions me at the unique juncture where these industries intersect.
