Prior to his corporate career, Jonathan served in the Defence Forces of Ireland for 12 years., leading Infantry teams in Kosovo, Macedonia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone while working alongside multiple international military organisations. In 2014 Jonathan moved into the world of Business transformation, first joining United Business Media and then moving to the EBRD as Transformation Lead and right hand to a number of Executives.
